How to verify competition fairness in five minutes.
Follow this playbook to validate commitment hashes, compare predetermined winners, and reassure players that every reveal is independently verifiable.
What You're Verifying
Winning Positions Were Predetermined
The winning ticket numbers were decided BEFORE any tickets were sold, not after.
No Manipulation Occurred
The winning positions were locked and couldn't be changed after the competition started.
Actual Winners Match Predetermined
Every actual winner matches exactly with the predetermined winning positions.
Step-by-Step Verification Process
Follow these simple steps to verify any completed competition
Find a Completed Competition
Go to the Transparency page and click on any completed raffle to view its verification details.
💡 Tip: Look for competitions marked as "Completed" - these have full verification data available.
Check the Verification Status
Look for the large green badge that says "RAFFLE VERIFICATION PASSED" at the top of the page.
Verify the Hash Match
In the "Verification Results" section, check that the "Hash Match" shows "✅ Matches".
🔍 What this means: The original commitment hash matches the recalculated hash, proving the winning positions weren't changed.
Check Comprehensive Verification
In the "Comprehensive Verification Results" section, verify both checks show "✅":
All actual winners match predetermined positions
No unauthorized winners found
Review Actual Winners
Scroll down to the "Actual Winners" table to see who actually won and verify the information makes sense.
🎯 What to look for: Winners should have realistic ticket numbers, proper prize assignments, and appropriate status (Won/Claimed).
What Each Section Means
Original Commitment
This shows the cryptographic "fingerprint" that was created before the competition started. It proves the winning positions were locked in advance.
Revealed Winning Positions
This shows all the predetermined winning positions that were revealed after the competition ended. You can see which ticket numbers were supposed to win which prizes.
Verification Results
This recalculates the hash from the revealed positions and compares it to the original. If they match, the competition is verified as fair.
Comprehensive Verification
This checks that every actual winner matches a predetermined position and that no unauthorized winners were created.
Red Flags to Watch For
Verification Failed
If you see "RAFFLE VERIFICATION FAILED" instead of "PASSED", this indicates a problem with the competition integrity.
Hash Mismatch
If the "Hash Match" shows "❌ No Match", the original commitment doesn't match the revealed positions.
Unauthorized Winners
If "No Unauthorized Winners" shows "❌ No", there are winners who don't match predetermined positions.
Missing Data
If any section shows "No data available" or error messages, the verification process may be incomplete.
Trust Indicators
Timestamps
Commitment created before competition started
Cryptographic Proof
